but the most frequently F.A.Q are the following ones:

How Many?

How Long?
or What should the length of my stair rod be?

Answer:
Stair rods should be at least 1" longer than the width of your carpet runner. The rod slides into each bracket about ½" on each side for a total of about 1" of the rod in the brackets. It is most esthetically pleasing to have at least ¼" of space on each side between the bracket and the edge of the carpet runner for a total of ½". Rods can be longer, with a wider bracket spacing, if desired. In fact one of the favourite option is to determine minimum rod length, is to add 2 inches to the width of the runner

How do I cut my stair rods?

Answer:
Stair rods can easily be cut in the home with a metal cutting hack saw. This type of saw is common and can be found at any hardware store. We recommend using a saw blade that has 12 to 24 teeth per inch for a faster smoother cut. We can also cut rods to your exact specifications at no additional charge.

Are stair rods used for carpet installation?

Answer:
Decorative Stair rods are not a form of carpet installation. Although they appear to be holding carpet runners on steps, another form of installation must be used. Use of an adhesive pad, staples, tacks, nails, tack strip or tackless strip is necessary for all runners on steps

Can I put stair rods over existing carpet?

Answer:
Installing stair rods over existing carpet simply requires longer screws to pass through the carpet and pad before it is anchored into the wood layer of the step. Longer screws, typically 1½" or longer, can be purchased at a local hardware store or are available from us by request at no additional charge

Question:
Are solid rods more durable than tubular rods?

Answer:
Tubular core and solid core rods are equally durable. Tubular core (hollow) rods will not dent under normal use. All our stair rods with tubular core are manufactured with a thick wall and are extremely strong

Question:
How do I clean my stair rods?

Answer:
Stair rods have a protective lacquer coating to resist tarnishing. Use only a soft dry cloth when cleaning the products. Cleansers and abrasives may remove the protective coating and will actually cause tarnishing
